SUCCESS!
So my bad habit that I want to break is thinking negatively about people. That means I want to replace this with a good habit that I will develop over the next 21 days. [For those of you who kinda suck at math, which I do too] that means my goal date is March 10th. By then I want to have started the habit of looking for positive things in the people around me that i can encourage them and compliment them with.
Like I said, SUCCESS!!!!! I did it today. I had training today for my new job which is in a bakery. Well I was working with this lady who is the hired cake decorator. Let me tell you she was just amazing at it. And so I told her. I told her that she was really artistic and super creative with her decorating. And you know what was so nice about saying this, was she had the biggest smile on her face when she said thank you. I knew I had cheered her up just a little bit. Although I have to be honest I worked with someone today that I do not particularly like, and I had a really hard time coming up with positive things about her. To be honest I haven't come up with one yet. BUT I was thinking about it and trying to look for the positive. I work with her again tomorrow and I'm going to see if I can find something to encourage her with.
HOWEVER, lets say I don't succeed. Lets say I do not encourage someone once a day. There needs to be a consequence. So I was thinking about what would be appropriate. And I decided if I can't encourage one person one time every day then for each day I fail at this I will have to write down SIX NICE THINGS about someone I do not like.
