So....
Probably looked at the title of this blog and were like, 'whipped? what is THAT all about?' Well you see I don't mean literally being whipped by something. So I looked up the definition of being whipped on www.urbandictionary.com and here is the definition it gave me, "Being completely controlled by your girlfriend or boyfriend, in most cases a guy being completely controlled by his girlfriend"
WOAH WOAH WOAH! I know what you're thinking now. You think this blog is going to be about relationships or A relationship. Don't get too excited (or in some cases don't exit this window yet) this blog has nothing to do with a romantic relationship.
No. Whipped is about SOOO much more. It's about breaking bad habits, and replacing them with good ones. It's about being controlled by things the things you do without even thinking about it. See my friend and I were talking about the things we do that we'd like to change about ourselves. Apparently it takes about three weeks, 21 days, to form a habit. Well the way we see it it should take the same amount of time to break a habit. Or at least replace the bad one with a good one.
So we're going to blog about our experiences, we no longer want to be controlled by these negative things, and want the positive to begin to show in our lives.
I'll be posting my friends link to her blog on here soon, that way you can keep up with both of us on how we're doing.
My first bad habit that I want to break is thinking negatively about others. So I want to replace that with encouraging others. I first heard about a challenge presented by www.livedifferent.com where you take one week and just encourage those around you. One nice thing about one person every day for a week. Well if the theory about 21 days is right then if I practice looking for positive things in people for 21 days it should just become automatic and I should begin thinking less negatively about others.
I think you guys get the idea.
So I will blog soon with the game plan and HOW this is all going to happen, but until then....
